I sold a new book.
What you need to understand is that when I left the house I was wearing a gorgeous sparkly jacket, which my landlord loaned to me. And there was an amazing story behind it, that it had been stolen from their flooded home post-Katrina, only to surface again in the front window of one of their favorite vintage stores in town. And it was an honor to wear it, it truly was. But the sun was hot and I was drunk and I ended up spending most of the day just tramping it up in a slip dress, the coat resting nicely to the side.
Also, apparently, I hugged a gigantic man.
